IntroductionBorn in the Chicago-Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Arvid Leroy Setran spent almost all of his time either working on cars or going out with his sister, Gladys, and her soon-to-be-husband, Harold Grovender. He was a just normal kid enjoying life -at least until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in its fight against the Axis powers. Unfortunately, in early July 1944, Arvid paid the ultimate sacrifice: his life for our freedom. This website was created to honor Arvid for what he did for our country.
